Motion Graphics Series

AWS Elemental allows media companies to deliver live and on-demand video to customers on any device all over the globe. If you ever watched large sporting events like the Olympics, World Cup or seen high quality on-demand content through Netflix or HBO. It’s likely you’ve seen AWS Elemental services in use, without knowing it.

AWS wanted a way for the customer to understand their new cloud offering of Media Services. Product explainers where requested for all 5 new services. With no defined style and disjoined videos of over 150 products it was my job to come up with one visual theme and story narrative that matched AWS current and future branding.

AWS went through a workflow revamp recently with an updated illustration style. I thought that would be a great place to start, considering that the workflow is an important part of AWS and used by all their products with explaining the end to end solutions it provides. This building block solution was evident in marketing material that consistent of visuals of isometric cubes, which I used alongside 45-degree angles as a background and transitional element throughout the series. The primary color in the series dark blue makes the orange products pop against it, which also shows up nicely with the white background of AWS site. With intros that helps distinguish between the others in the series and endings that tie them all together as a family. I believe the consistent narratives plays nicely together as a whole series.
